According to the Office for National Statistics, 11% of the population of the UK (approximately six million people) are unpaid carers. This silent army of carers are usually family members and can even be young children looking after a disabled parent. What we do

With respite live in care, one of our qualified and experienced carers will take over the day to day duties of the full-time carer, allowing them to take a break. Our carers all receive full training and are fully vetted against the Criminal Records Bureau, the Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) register and Protection of Children Act (POCA) list, so you know that the person coming into your home is trustworthy and experienced in looking after vulnerable people.

During their time with you they’ll help with everyday tasks such as shopping, housework and cleaning, as well as providing much needed companionship. This means that the regular carer can take a break, secure in the knowledge that the dependant is being looked after to the highest possible standards.

Not just for the elderly

Respite live in care isn’t just for elderly dependants. Our respite live in care workers are experienced in looking after younger people too, giving parents the opportunity for some time to themselves to recharge their batteries.

We also provide a rapid response service for emergency situations. Our rapid response team can carry out an assessment within 48 hours of a request being made and place a Care Worker within 72 hours, sometimes even quicker. Agincare also provides this service to Primary Health Care trusts, so we can help patients make the transition from hospital back to their homes with the minimum of delay. This allows patients to move back into their own homes yet still have the peace of mind that they have 24 hour live in care during the transitional period.
